Environs
West Cornwall is a land full of history – from prehistoric stone circles to relics of the great tin mining era, great houses and gardens which we can still visit today.
The numerous small harbours are picturesque now but were important fishing and trading ports in the past centuries. Newlyn is one of the largest fishing ports in the UK, well worth visiting and a source of fine local fish.
St. Michael’s Mount, St. Ives Tate Gallery, Trengwaignton Garden and glorious beaches for surfing and sunbathing are close by.
Further afield are the Eden Project, Godolphin House, Truro and Tintagel to name but a few of the many possibilities.
Year round interest
A profusion of bluebells in May, cliffs and hedges a mass of colour at their peak in early June....

Glorious sandy beaches, sea swimming, surfing  and festivals in high summer....

Galleries, gardens, stately homes, restaurants, open-air theatres.......

Seabird migration in September, stormy seas in autumn and winter –

Cycling and walking year-round.

Visit West Cornwall in any season and be inspired.
